TESSCO has a wealth of marketing content and data, but no easy way to pull it together from multiple systems and leverage it to its greatest potential. In addition, TESSCO wanted to advance to a true e-commerce platform that could integrate with an enterprise-level system like Sitecore, as well as empower the marketing group to manage and execute campaigns and promotions without requiring IT intervention.
TESSCO engaged RDA to develop a custom digital marketing platform using Sitecore. The platform manages content, supplies contextual intelligence, and automates communications at scale, across every channel and in real time. TESSCO employees now have the tools and training they need to manage their own marketing content, execute their own promotions, and leverage the solution to drive revenue and engage customers.
A major usability issue was resolved with a streamlined process that allows TESSCO customers to use their existing ERP to connect directly to the TESSCO system. The introduction of Insite Commerce enabled the TESSCO marketing group to manage promotions autonomously, without reliance on IT or the developer group for execution.
A clean, modern design allows TESSCO to target native mobile applications for delivery of content, which B2B customers increasingly demand from their suppliers. Site performance is also expected to improve with the continued transition away from homegrown legacy back-end systems.
