Senior Accountant / Supervisor

We are growing!  RDA Company, LLC is in search of a Senior Accountant to work in our beautifully modernized office headquarters in Hunt Valley, MD.  In this full-time position, you will supervise all responsibilities of the Accounting department, produce the corporation’s financial statements and other operational reports distributed directly to Management, assure that tax, regulatory and compliance deadlines are met with accuracy, and serve as a communication hub between Accounting and the entire organization.   This is a truly exciting opportunity for the candidate that is looking to grow their career and have an impact on our success!

Responsibilities
  • Facilitating all aspects of month-end close including the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements (such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements) as well as, other company specific financial reports

  • Supervising the performance of the entire Accounting department, ensuring that all requirements and deadlines are met, processes are efficient, and internal controls are operating effectively

  • Issuing projections to the management team summarizing current and projected financial position

  • Facilitating annual financial audits by serving as company liaison with auditors

  • Ensure compliant and timely corporate tax filings, leveraging RDA’s external audit team

  • Communicating with customers to address any past due invoices on their account and advising the management team when necessary

  • Ensuring all active projects are covered by valid, binding contracts.

  • Producing financial data and ad-hoc financial information for the management team upon request, leveraging G/L detail and business metrics

  • Ensure financial data is current with Credit Service Companies (i.e. Dun &Bradstreet)

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required, CPA preferred

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in auditing, accounting, and/or other financial roles

  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and O365 Products required, MS Dynamics Great Plains a plus

  • Demonstrate personal drive, ability to work independently and proactively, and the desire for continuous improvement

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and decision making skills

  • Results oriented with a desire for personal and team success

  • Respect for people and ability to work and communicate with all levels in the organization
