Founded in 1954, Lowes Foods employs nearly 9,000 people and operates 80 full-service supermarkets in the Carolinas.

Bringing the In-Store Experience Online

Lowes Foods sets out to break the mold of the standard supermarket and create a distinctive grocery shopping experience worthy of its Carolina roots. Their online experience has to match the onsite experience.

Lowes Food approached RDA to redesign its website. The Lowe’s Food team challenged us to create a site that they could use to promote the weekly specials and coupons, in-store events, food and drink recipes, e-commerce, and in-store brands. Additionally, they wanted a store locator that could inform users about each individual store's events and what in-store brands they offered.

The final online design ensures that their local guests can feel that community connection. When you’re local you know how local works. You become part of the solution that nurtures our families and communities. The design also brings to life their new service offerings and their unique sub-brands.

The newly redesigned site found notable increases in web traffic.
