Working on ground-level – before Azure
RDA was contacted by a well-established global beverage distributor that was using traditional methods for many of their business processes, the most obvious of which was their outdated ordering system for small and medium-sized customers. For years they had employed only telephone sales through a representative or call center. They were in dire need of a manageable, trackable, electronic process and needed to develop a quick solution that did not carry a heavy front-loaded capital investment.

With RDA’s assistance, an Internet-based online ordering system was proposed and developed through Azure. Using Azure enabled our client to rapidly deploy the system. This solution added the following key features and benefits to the client’s operations:

- The ability to support a variety of client interfaces (browser, mobile, etc)

After the successful implementation of Azure, our client was able to employ all the benefits and features of their new system and improve efficiency, speed, agility and their revenue stream. Using a more traditional method of development, our customer would have spent many additional months getting this application to market. In addition, without a significant capital investment of hardware, they were able to maintain their cashflow. This was clearly an ideal utilization of the Azure platform.
