The focus of a Proof of Concept (POC) is to help demonstrate where and how a specific technology and/or application can be leveraged as an effective solution to your business problem.

POCs may include:

• Installation of the application in your business environment.
• Evaluation of your company’s current processes to help identify areas that can be improved by employing the solution.
• Configuration of the application with your current data and processes, allowing for a testing period.
• Training for the primary users of the application to ensure they are comfortable with how it operates.
• Delivery of a gap analysis of any possible additional items your organization may require of the solution and what it would take to implement those requirements.

Additionally, the RDA consultant, using the knowledge gathered during the POC about your business, may provide additional ideas and suggestions you may want to consider as part of a strategic enterprise approach.
