Interview Process and Benefits

Interview Process

  1. Contact an RDA Recruiter
Contact a member of our recruiting staff through our website, a job fair, or a friend. If it looks like a career at RDA is right for you, we'll ask you to take an on-line assessment to baseline your skill level. If all goes well, it's time to “talk techie."

  2. Technical Phone or In-Person Interview
To make sure that we are a good technical fit for each other, one of our consultants will conduct a technical telephone interview with you. If you prefer or if you are located close to one of our offices, our consultants can meet you in the office. This is your chance to impress us with your deep technical knowledge. Hint: Ask a lot of tough questions, and be ready to answer them, too.

  3. Final In-Person Interview
Congratulations, you've made it this far. In the final step you meet the management and ask any final questions you might have.

Benefits For All Our Staff

Time Off
Each new employee starts with 16 days of Personal Time Off (PTO). And the longer you stay at RDA, the more PTO you accrue. Unused PTO can also be carried over to the following year. In addition to PTO, employees enjoy seven paid holidays per year.

Relaxed Dress Code
Unless a client environment requires us to dress differently, we are a business casual work environment.

A Second Office—At Home
Most employees are eligible for our telecommunications benefit which provides funds to spend toward tools required for a home-based office.

Recreational Activities
We work hard, but we play hard, too! We have parties and other recreational activities throughout the year making RDA a fun and enjoyable place to work.

Retirement Opportunities

401(k) Program
RDA offers a 401(k) program through which employees may contribute up to the maximum percentage allowed by the IRS of their pre-tax income via payroll deductions.  Administered by BISYS Plan Services Group, this plan uses the American Funds family of mutual funds and offers 13 fund selections. Employees may begin contributions to this program the first of the month following their start of employment.

Insurance Coverage

Comprehensive Medical and Dental
RDA pays 85% of the CareFirst Blue Cross Blue Shield health premium which include a prescription card. RDA pays 100% of each employee's dental premium.

Vision Care

RDA’s vision plan is administered through Advantica Eyecare. It is an employee paid benefit with premiums paid through convenient payroll deduction using pre-tax dollars.

Flexible Spending Accounts

RDA offers employees the ability to participate in Flexible Spending Accounts. These plans allow individuals to deduct money from their income before taxes to be used toward certain medical and child care expenses. They can then submit actual expenses to the plan as they incur them to be reimbursed with the funds that were deducted. The benefit comes from the fact that those deductions/ reimbursements are all on a pre-tax basis and - as a result - they do not pay taxes on the income applicable to those expenses.

Life Insurance
RDA provides employees with life insurance in the amount equal to their annual earnings, with the option to purchase additional coverage on a pre-tax basis.

Long Term & Short Term Disability Insurance
Benefits from this program are paid on a tax-free basis to the employee.

Additional Benefits for Consultants

Certification Bonuses
RDA will get you on the fast track toward technical certifications. RDA covers the testing fees and provides a generous bonus upon the passing of each individual test.

Additional Training and Job Aids
We work with consultants to ensure that their technical needs are being met. For example, if you are a new consultant that needs to acquire the latest Java skills, we will make sure that you are provided with the necessary Java training and certification. We also provide each consultant with the latest software and subscriptions (such as Microsoft's MSDN) to get the job done.

Events, Conferences, and Seminars
As a consultant, you'll have ample opportunity to participate in a number of different technical events, including RDA-sponsored technical webcasts and live meetings as well as industry seminars and conferences.

Technology Evangelist Groups

As part of our commitment to technical excellence and the continuous enhancement of our delivery team, RDA has established Technology Evangelist groups that focus on developing expertise among their members in defined technology areas. Every RDA developer is aligned with at least one Evangelist group.

Members of the RDA Evangelist groups are specialists, functioning as dedicated technical resources within their categories of expertise. Our customers richly benefit from the expertise of the RDA consultants. Not only is the project team composed of skilled developers proficient in the technologies specific to the project, but this team also has direct access to other specialists throughout the company to cover nearly any technical contingency that could arise during a project. This comprehensive resource pool is a benefit built into every RDA project for our clients.

RDA Evangelists lead workshops, mentor and train RDA staff as well as clients, cultivate sales opportunities, even write articles. The groups are responsible for developing their own training programs incorporating a variety of formats, such as webcasts, self-paced study, industry certifications, white papers, and best practices.
