Our client is a global-scale developer of software and network systems.


Background

RDA's client establishes executive level sponsors for its largest accounts and most important business relationships. This enables them to effectively manage and respond to the needs and opportunities associated with those companies. Prior to this project, our client collected sponsor information through a cumbersome process that involved entering data on an InfoPath form that was mailed out and sent back, extracting the XML data, and copying it into a SharePoint portal.

In addition to the inefficient information collection process, the original method used by our client had several other weak points. First of all, it was difficult to identify who was sponsoring which accounts. Secondly, the system was limited and not flexible for adaptation without the assistance of a systems expert. All reports within SharePoint had to be hard-coded and specific parameters could not be easily searched and organized. All of these factors combined to make the system frustrating to use and difficult to maintain.


Solution Detail

RDA developed, extended and re-architected a customized system for executive sponsor and account data collection, collaboration and communication. It is accessed in client offices throughout the world and includes detailed information for over 1,000 high profile accounts and organizations.

This project was completed under a fixed-price and fixed-deadline contract.

Technically Speaking

RDA's solution is a Web-based, C#.NET application that sits on top of SQL server. The project incorporated a custom, object-oriented framework to provide the functionality that our client needed and the flexibility for additional reports, screen looks, etc.
